Real World Math
Another Math site to get excited about! Real World Math uses Google Earth to teach, well, real world math. Lesson plans are done in Google Earth, where you can measure distances or add media or models to the earth’s surface. There is some learning curve here if you haven’t used Google Earth before, but it’s worth it. There are over thirty projects to chose from that range from a specific concept, like scientific notation, to project-based learning plans. There are videos, pictures and even tutorials to help you get started with Google Earth. Very cool stuff for the middle and high schoolers and completely free!
